Mr. Jegede Abiodun Paul is a visionary leader and the founder/chairman of Japaul Group of Companies, a conglomerate comprising seven subsidiaries and associate companies with a presence in Nigeria, Asia, and America. With a career marked by exceptional leadership and strategic foresight, Mr. Jegede has transformed Japaul Group from conceptual ideas into industry giants across various sectors. Mr. Jegede holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Accounting from the University of Ilorin and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management from Rivers State University of Science & Technology. His advanced education was further enriched by completing the “Launching New Ventures” program at Harvard Business School in 2012, equipping him with cutting-edge business strategies.
Before founding Japaul Group in 1997, Mr. Jegede served as an accountant at an oil servicing company in Port Harcourt from 1990 to 1996, where he gained substantial experience in the oil and gas industry. His career is decorated with numerous awards, including the Who’s Who Intercontinental Registry – USA’s Featured Global Expert in Maritime Business Managing Director (2014), and Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production’s Recognition Award (2012), which underline his excellence in business transformation and maritime industry leadership.
Mr. Jegede is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Shipping, an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Transport Administration, and a member of the Gemology Institute of America (GIA). His expertise also extends to modern technologies, where he is a Certified Blockchain Expert and a member of the Blockchain Council.
